Using a No. 7 hook and M. make 4 ch and join into a ring, 3 ch, work 11 (12) tr into ring, join with a sl st to top of 3 ch., 3 ch.

Next round – 1 tr. in first tr., • 2 tr. in next tr., rep. from • to end, sl st to top of ch., 3

Next round -1 tr, in first 2 tr, • 2 tr. in next tr, 1 tr in next tr, rep. from • to end. Sl st to top of ch, ch 3

Next round -1 tr. in first 3 tr., • 2 tr. in next tr., 1 tr. in next 2 tr., rep. From * to end, sl st to top of ch. 3 ch- 48 (52) tr in round.

Work 4 (5) rounds on these sts. Break yarn.

Join LC. yarn, 3 ch., turn cap to wrong side and work 1 round. Break yarn.

Join D.C. yarn, 3 ch., work 1 round. Break yarn.

Join M. yarn, 3 ch., work 1 round

Rep the last 3 rounds once more. Break yarn and fasten off

Make a pompom using all three colors and attach to centre of top

Join D.C. yarn, 3 ch., work I row.

Rep. these 3 rows once more, then cont. in M. only for 18 (22) rows.

Break yarn.

Join D.C. yarn, 3 ch., work 1 row. Break yarn

Join L.C. yarn, 3 ch, work 1 row. Break yam.

Join M yarn, 3 ch., work 1 row. Break yam.

Reps these rows once more. Break yarn, leaving a short end

To Make Up

Press

Tread yarn at ends of scarf in needle and draw through sts, pull up tightly and fasten off. Make 2 pompoms and attach to each end.

MITTS (TWO Alike)

Using a No. 8 hook and M. make 18 (22) ch., turn.

Work foundation row as given for scarf.

Join L.C. yam, 3 ch, • 1 tr. in next tr, rep. from • to end.  Break yarn

Join D.C. yarn, 3 ch, work 1 row. Break yarn

Join M. and count thus:

Next row – 3 ch, * insert hook in next st, draw through loop, insert hook in next st, draw through loop, y.o,h., and draw through 2 loops, y.o.h. And draw through rem loops, 1 tr in next 2 tr, rep from * ending 1 tr in next tr. In last rep.

Work 3 rows in tr. Break yarn, thread in needle and draw through rem st, pull up tightly and fasten off.
